Greatest hits
Our designs have always been distinctly Saucony and feel good from the moment you lace up. Here are some of our most notorious, beloved styles that represent the best of our lifestyle heritage.
1981 Jazz
One of our most popular models then and now. Born as a high-tech performance shoe, the Jazz was designed in partnership with leading podiatrist Frank Santopietro with a focus on reducing weight while achieving better balance
1983 DXN Trainer
New Zealand elite runner Rod Dixon wins the NYC marathon wearing Saucony and the DXN line is born. With Achilles-relieving collapsible back tab, metatarsal protecting inserts, and a variety of experimental tread patterns, the DXN trainer cleared the path for Saucony's legacy in innovation.
1985 Shadow
First introduced in 1985 as a performance trainer, the Shadow Original still has that same comfort and stability of the original. A staple silhouette built with our iconic cushioning system that provides heal cushioning on impact.
1991 Grid
Grid™ (Ground Reaction Inertia Device technology) is launched. Using a crisscross construction in the rear midfoot, Grid™ technology provides superior cushioning and stability by evenly distributing shock, reducing stain on muscles and joints.
In Retrospect
Dig into our past by exploring Saucony ads over the years, and discover how our look and shoes have evolved, but never drifted from the innovation at our core.
